About EA’s Baton Rouge Location
Dedicated to Quality Assurance, EA Baton Rouge’s state-of-the-art facility sits at the heart of Louisiana State University (“LSU”) in the most picturesque part of Main Campus. EABR boasts a unique partnership with a major university, offering the perfect entry-level opportunity for students and new grads to break into the gaming industry — not to mention advanced roles for managers, analysts and engineers. The Capital City itself is located at the cultural confluence of southeast Louisiana, just 80 miles from New Orleans and from Lafayette, the heart of Cajun Country!
EA originally opened its doors in Baton Rouge in August of 2008. After just five years, EA Baton Rouge outgrew its facility on LSU’s South Campus and moved into the top floor of a $30 million, 90,000 square-feet Digital Media Center. This new facility not only houses EA Baton Rouge, but is also home to LSU’s Center for Computation and Technology. This partnership, along with the growing digital media, technology and film within Louisiana, makes Baton Rouge a natural place for EA to call home.
Every month, EABR staff holds a potluck that plays on themes like the FIFA World Cup and St. Patrick’s Day. Its in-house bake sales are legendary (all proceeds go to charity!), and it shines on tours taken by school groups and professionals alike. EABR came to be with the assistance of Louisiana Economic Development and its Office of Entertainment.
