Who I Am
I work in the German Sales department as a Key Account Manager in our Cologne office. Before I started with EA I studied economics and worked for seven years as an account manager for a mobile provider. The EA office was on my way to work back then, and being a passionate gamer and EA fan myself, every time I passed the office and saw the EA logo on the building I thought: one day I want to stop here for work and not just pass by. Well, my wish came true and I became a happy member of the EA family.
What I Do
As a Key Account Manager I am responsible for several of our top customers in Germany and Austria. My job is basically to make sure that our great games are available in the right amount at the right time and visible with the needed information at my customers’ points of sale.That includes my involvement in all stages of the typical lifecycle of a product from announcement, to pre-order, to launch and promotion.
What is My Day Like?
My job evolves around all the activities that are necessary in order to sell, market and communicate EA games in retail. In order to do that I am in a constant dialogue with my colleagues in our sales department and all necessary customer contacts. I also cooperate with various departments like product marketing, demand planning, finance, trade marketing and legal. This broad interaction with all kinds of experts makes my daily work exciting and inspirational. I’m truly lucky be able to say that I love coming to work every day.
Where Am I Going?
I’m in my eighth year with EA and the gaming industry, and our products and our company have been in a constant evolution since I started my job. Games transformed from being just products to 24/7 live services. This ongoing change opens up new fields of engagement, and therefore, new opportunities. EA encourages and actively supports individual career development, so it’s exciting to see what the EA future holds for me.
