Two MCS juggernauts get sent home in the AFC Divisional Finals
Madden players battle it out to win their division and move onto the next round of the Club Championship.
Club Championship
It was a huge week for the Madden Championship Series. The Club Championship continued, and it included some of the biggest upsets in MCS history. In just one night, the entire outlook of the tournament changed. But more on that later.
Before we talk about the Divisional Finals, here’s a quick rundown on how they got here.
Dntcareaboutice (Jets) defeated Prodigy (Bills), 10-17
Young Tony (Chiefs) defeated Turbojeff (Broncos), 31-7
Noahupnxt (Patriots) defeated DatBoi (Dolphins), 20-7
Pavan (Raiders) defeated Elite (Chargers), 24-10
Jonbeast (Steelers) defeated KMaC (Bengals), 16-6
XSET Joke (Browns) defeated JSthebest (Ravens). 13-10
AFC West Final
Young Tony gets sent home by four-time Raiders champ
Young Tony faced some strong competition on his way to the AFC West Final. His previous match against Turbojeff was one of the most decisive wins of the tournament, establishing a lead in the first 30 seconds that he would never give up.
Unfortunately for him, Pavan is just a different breed when he’s locked in. His defense was relentless, stopping Young Tony’s explosive offense that looked unstoppable earlier in that night.
Pavan, again, sits on top of the AFC West.
AFC East Final
Noahupnxt’s defense stops Dntcareaboutice cold
If you’ve watched enough competitive Madden, then you know many games are won by adjustments in the second half. This was an extremely close game after two quarters between two highly skilled MCS pros.
It didn’t stay that way. Noahupnxt changed up his scheme and Dntcareaboutice could not find any daylight. It was a bitter end for Dntcareaboutice, who came into this game red hot. It was looking like this would be his year, but Noahupnxt had other things in mind.
AFC South Final
Wesley upsets the all-time MCS earner
Wesley narrowly squeaked by Spoto in his previous matchup, so there was quite a bit of tension going into thicord as the s one. It was Drini against Wesley. Wesley has a potent offensive game, but Drini just broke the MCS earnings record earlier that night.
It was a real slugfest and a must watch for any competitive Madden fan. In the end, Wesley came out on top in what was a major upset. Oddly enough though, it wasn’t the largest upset of the night …
AFC North Final
Jonbeast proves his game is no joke
If you spoke with Jonbeast at any point before the tournament, you’d know his confidence wasn’t high. He had one of the most difficult roads to advance in the entire tournament. Not only did he have to beat an absurdly talented player like KMaC, but in order to get out of the AFC North, he had to beat XSET Joke, the reigning Madden Bowl Champion.
This game was one of the best defensive battles we’ve ever seen in competitive Madden. An absolute chess match from start to finish. The final minutes made this game something to remember.
Seriously, enough reading. Just watch this one. You’ll be happy you did.
