Jump in to F2™ 2024

Many of the current Formula 1® drivers wouldn’t be where they are today if it wasn’t for Formula 2™. In this latest F1® 24 update, you’ll get to experience the thrill of these incredible Formula 2™ cars, with every team and driver from the start of the current Formula 2™ season accounted for.

The 2024 Formula 2™ championship has been heating up, with more than a dozen different winners throughout the grid so far this year. With three race weekends remaining, the 2024 title is well and truly up for grabs.

No matter what happens in the real championship, you’ll be able to re-write history for yourself. Perhaps you’ll take Colapinto to a championship title, or step into Kimi Antonelli’s shoes before his real-life promotion to Mercedes in 2025. The choice is yours.

Former alumni and Formula 2™ championship winners include Charles Leclerc, George Russell, and Oscar Piastri. Will you be the next to take the Formula 2™ crown?

Updates don’t stop there, this update also brings a fresh look to all F1® cars reflecting real world mechanical and aerodynamic developments as well as various sponsor updates. You can read about all the changes made to the cars in our Patch Notes article.

Drive the Future in Season 3

In Season 3, we’re inviting you to drive the future, with a big chunk of the season centered around the Formula 2™ cars. Season 3 of F1 24’s live service is split into two parts, with part one running from September 18 to October 13, part two from October 25 through until November 11.

Here’s a rundown of what you’ve got to look forward to:

Part 1 - F2™ EVENT SERIES

F2™ Track Mastery (Sep 18 - Oct 13)

With the 2024 Formula 2™ cars and drivers making their debut in F1® 24 Season 3, we felt it best to give you the opportunity to get to grips with the new machines.

Visit F1® World to find a set of Track Mastery events designed to help you find the limit of the new car around Silverstone, Spa, and Losail. Win rewards including a Compendium sticker for each circuit.

Elimination Mode Returns (Sep 18 - Oct 13)

Once you’ve worked your magic in those F2™ Track Mastery events, jump into the return of a fan-favourite for a limited-time - Elimination mode. Here’s how it works: every 30 seconds the driver in last place is knocked out until only one remains.

Have you got what it takes to make it to the end? There’s a full set of “Neon Drive” gear available for those that have the skill. Each week, finish in the top 7 and you’ll unlock a new reward. For week one, you’ll grab the gloves, the race suit for week two, the helmet for week three, and finally the livery for the fourth and final week.

Head to F1 World to take on Elimination Mode, in open lobbies or with friends exclusively in the 2024 Formula 2 cars.

Race Scenario: 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix (Sep 18 - Oct 13)

No one has bridged the gap between F2™ to F1® quite like Oliver Bearman. Ollie, a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, secured F2™ pole in Jeddah only to step into the F1® Ferrari at the last minute to replace the unwell Carlos Sainz. Despite missing both FP1 and FP2, Bearman qualified 11th and secured 7th in the race to score his first-ever points in Formula 1®.

Complete this Race Scenario event to unlock Ollie’s 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix helmet for your personal driver avatar.

Plus, if you finish in the top 50% on the leaderboard you’ll grab some Saudi Arabia stickers for the Compendium, and if you finish in the top 30% you’ll earn the “Crowned” badge for your profile.

Challenge Career: Jack Doohan (Sep 18 - Oct 13)

A bumper Part 1 of Season 3 concludes with a Challenge Career event featuring one of the latest inductees to the world of Formula 1®, Jack Doohan.

In 2025 Doohan will take Ocon’s vacant Alpine seat and battle the biggest names in global motorsport to prove he can make the leap from F2™ success story to F1® contender.

Complete Episode 1 to unlock the “Global” profile badge, Episode 2 to earn some Alpine Compendium stickers, and Episode 3 to earn “The Robot” podium emote.

PART 2: McLAREN SENNA 30TH ANNIVERSARY EVENTS SERIES

Part 2 of Season 3 celebrates one of the greatest to ever do it, the legendary Brazilian driver Ayrton Senna.

From October 25, take part in special challenges that touch on several moments in Senna’s illustrious career, including those from Suzuka, Monaco, Silverstone, Hungaroring, Spa, and of course, Interlagos.

Stay tuned over the coming weeks as we unveil more of what to expect in this second half of Season 3.

Season 3 Fanzone Team & Driver Picks
