Ready to go in at full throttle?

Battlefield REDSEC and Red Bull are partnering for a limited-time event in celebration of Season 2, which includes a new vehicle core to Red Bull’s extreme sports history: the Dirt Bike. Accelerate through three rounds of white-knuckle action Gauntlet-style free-to-play mode, weaving through each of the courses knocking out enemy racers as you go.

Only the best may claim victory: beginning with eight, the final round reduces to four players all competing for Red Bull in-game rewards.

Consider this a change of pace from the traditional Battlefield formula, but one that provides an opportunity to improve your driving skills. Master the Red Bull Supermoto Gauntlet, and you will become an elusive force on the battlefield’s fastest vehicle.

The Dirt Bike: A Refresher on Tricks, Tips, and Tips on Tricks

The newest vehicle to enter Battlefield REDSEC, the Dirt Bike boasts extreme speed with a built-in boost feature. Normally, the Dirt Bike serves as a two-wheeled transport for extreme maneuvers between objectives or away from deadly situations, sacrificing any means of protection, on-board weapons, and durability for lightning-like nimbleness.

However, the Red Bull Supermoto is the destination for experimenting with this new vehicle, especially when it comes to its tricks. Here are a few quick ones you should know about and try out in this mode before using it as part of evasive tactics (NOTE: these are for default stick controls; consult your in-game settings for the custom keybind or command that pertains to your preferred control style):

  • WHEELIE - While grounded at high speeds, pull back on the left stick.
  • STOPPIE - While grounded at high speeds, push forward on the left stick.
  • ELEPHANT TURN - While stationary, hold throttle while spinning the control stick 180-degrees.
  • MID-AIR SPINS - While airborne, hold the left stick left or right. Note: spin speed is slow, so don’t expect a full 180 or 360 on a short jump.
  • FLIPS - While airborne, pull all the way back or forward on the control stick.

Are there extra points for tricks? No, but it can be the exclamation point on an all-but-guaranteed victory against the opposition.

Surviving the Red Bull Supermoto Gauntlet

The Red Bull Supermoto Gauntlet is meant for solo riders only. Eight competitors will queue in for a three round match. Only the Dirt Bike can be accessible in this mode; no loadout needed. A rider cannot take damage from any enemies or vehicles, although vehicles can be destroyed by other players or by crashing into objects around the map. If a vehicle explodes, the rider will respawn on the nearest vehicle.

Winning the Red Bull Supermoto Gauntlet is as simple as earning the most points by driving through checkpoints. There are three kinds of checkpoints to drive - or jump - through, with each color indicating a point amount and intended difficulty:

  • BLUE - Award 3 points, placed in easy-to-reach locations.
  • YELLOW - Award 5 points, placed above ground accessible with simple jumps
  • RED - Award 10 points, placed in hard-to-reach locations, including places only accessible with difficult jumps.

Four Fort Lyndon Points of Interest - the Golf Course, Area 22B, the Tech Campus, and Jewel Beach - serve as Supermoto courses for this Gauntlet with additional ramps, loops, and other obstacles added to reach, or block access to, each checkpoint.

The top six point scorers in the first round reach the second, and the top four point scorers in the second round reach the final showdown round. The top scorer in the final showdown round wins the Gauntlet.

This mode features multiple challenges which include Red Bull Customization rewards, including Player Card Backgrounds, Dog Tags, and more.

Top Five Red Bull Supermoto Gauntlet Mode Tips

  1. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT. This Gauntlet mode is a great way to hone your Dirt Bike driving skills. Take what you learn from this mode to become a harder-to-hit target in all other Battlefield 6 and REDSEC experiences.
  2. SPEED (DOESN’T KILL). When attempting jumps, maintain as high of a speed as possible to reach Yellow and Red checkpoints, as well as stay on the course!
  3. CONSISTENCY IS KEY. Especially in earlier rounds, keep driving through checkpoints - even if they are low-value blue checkpoints - to rack up score and prevent elimination.
  4. MAKE THE EFFORT. When possible, spot those Red Checkpoints off the beaten track and learn how to quickly reach them; 10 points can make the difference between a win and a last-second showdown loss.
  5. JUST BE COOL. Certain challenges reward customization items for performing tricks, such as popping wheelies and catching air. Consult the in-game challenge menu for more information, and don’t be afraid to bail, especially in this Gauntlet mode where damage is limited!
