Chel Weeks – Week 1: Cult Superstars

Welcome to Chel Weeks, a brand-new content drop in NHL 26. These are five-day bursts of can’t-miss HUT content, built to be more rewarding than anything we’ve done before. Each Chel Week comes with its own theme, limited-time events, and a community vote that puts power in your hands.

We’re kicking things off with Week 1: Cult Superstars. You’ll get to decide which of these themed players earn OVR upgrades, while playing through objectives, completing new sets, and unlocking exclusive rewards.

Chel Weeks will roll out across the year, each one being unique and only available for a short window. Stay plugged in to our channels so you don’t miss the chance to vote, play, and make your voice heard.

Chel Weeks begin Monday, September 8th. The first theme is Cult Superstars, players you remember for how they played the game, not just what shows up on the scoresheet. They are the spark plugs, the tone-setters, and the ones who made their mark with grit and personality as much as skill.

Here is how your week unfolds:

• Day 1 (Monday, September 8th): Four buildable Cult Superstars become available. You can start working toward Tom Wilson, Jacob Trouba, Nazem Kadri, and Jacob Slavin. You’ll receive a free starter pack with one Chel Week player to get started. A community vote also begins, letting you choose which player will receive a +1 OVR upgrade at the end of the week.
• Day 2 (Tuesday, September 9th): A new player combination (+5 AP) drops into the program. It connects to the Cult Superstars theme, giving you more options to shape your lineup.
• Day 3 (Wednesday, September 10th): A limited-time collection opens with a themed reward for completing it. You’ll also see new World of Chel customization added on this day.
• Day 4 (Thursday, September 11th): An 85 OVR Spotlight Player goes live, earnable through HUT Moments.
• Day 5 (Friday, September 12th): The community vote closes and results are revealed. The winning player earns a +1 OVR boost, making your choice part of the week’s legacy.

Chel Weeks will return throughout the year with fresh themes, rewards, and Spotlight Players. Each one is unique and only available for a limited time, so staying connected ensures you don’t miss your chance to join in. Cult Superstars is just the beginning of a program designed to keep HUT feeling fresh and player-driven all season long.
