We’re pleased to announce an exclusive collaboration with German sports club Berlin Braves! Their Madden NFL 22 Capsule Collection, available in The Yard vanity store and Ultimate Team store starting on February 25, was designed to represent the brand’s values and the city of Berlin. We hope this partnership helps spread our love of football across the world, bringing more and more young people onto the field through fashion and gaming.

Berlin Braves connects European and American culture in a big way, dating all the way back to the 1950s. The founders are hoping to bring back that connection as they forge a new kind of sporting culture through their brand. This Capsule Collection represents the history, diversity, and innovation of both Berlin Braves and Madden NFL 22, and it’s exclusively available for you to trick out your avatar in The Yard and your whole roster in Ultimate Team. Plus, take your talents to the all-new Berlin Braves-themed field at the Germany location in The Yard and experience the aesthetics of Berlin as you hit the turf. What inspired the design for the Berlin Braves x EA SPORTS capsule collection?

Our designs are the complete opposite of the color palette of the city of Berlin. They sum up everything we do and what we stand for: vibrancy, diversity, love and a whole lot of show and flash. They’re also inspired by the iconic Brandenburger Gate, which you’ll see in The Yard. It’s a mixture of old vs. new Berlin. Our Berlin.

What does having Berlin Braves in Madden NFL 22 mean to Germany and wider regions?

We truly hope it will inspire a lot of kids in Germany to take up sports. It doesn’t matter what you do or what sport you are active in. It’s not about being on a winning team or being the expert in your field; anyone can be part of the Berlin Braves and Madden NFL 22 family. You just have to do what you love and keep pushing forward. Don’t let anybody tell you differently. Eventually, people will start picking up what you are doing–even if they are on the other side of the world.

What and who inspired the Berlin Braves in these projects?

The youth always inspire us. We strive to inspire young individuals to look at sports a bit differently and help them find that one thing that turns into a passion. There is space for one to grow as an individual within our club, no matter your skill level on the field. Winning is important but it’s not the most important thing in life. Love is. Love and support for each other always wins.
