HOW HAVE REAL-WORLD RULE & REGULATION CHANGES BEEN IMPLEMENTED IN THE 2026 SEASON PACK?

The new regulations have been recreated for the 2026 Season Pack with care and authenticity. New car systems like Overtake Mode and Active Aerodynamics were developed for the game using real-world data supplied by Formula One® and the FIA. We’re also closely following the real season as each race unfolds so that we can continue to deliver an authentic experience as rule tweaks are made to keep the drivers at the centre of the action.

WHICH GAME MODES CAN I PLAY WITH THE 2026 F1® CARS, TEAMS, AND DRIVERS?

You can experience the 2026 Season in Driver Career, My Team, Grand Prix, Time Trial, Split Screen, Pro Challenges, Unranked Multiplayer, and LAN.

HOW DO I ACCESS THE 2026 CARS IN THOSE MODES?

The car select screen will show a new category for F1® 2026, alongside the existing categories from the F1®25 base game.

DOES THE SEASON PACK INCLUDE ALL OF THE 2026 CARS?

Each of the 2026 teams will be represented at launch, comprising a majority of true-to-life car models while some teams will have their liveries applied to the 2026 regulation (My Team) car. A ‘Sports Update’ patch* will be made available to all players post-launch, which will include updates to some car models.

*Internet connection & all game updates required.

CAN I CONTINUE MY F1®25 DRIVER CAREER AND MY TEAM SAVE GAMES IN THE 2026 SEASON PACK?

You will keep your 2025 Driver Career and My Team save games. However, the 2026 versions of these modes are separate game modes. To play with the 2026 cars, teams, and calendar in Driver Career or My Team you will need to start a new save file and choose the 2026 season at the beginning.

DO ALL OF MY EXISTING GAME SETTINGS FROM F1®25 CARRY OVER TO THIS NEW UPDATE?

Yes, if you have already played F1®25 then all of your existing settings for controls, graphics, sound, etc. will be waiting for you when you start playing with the 2026 content. However, there are two new optional Driving Assists in the 2026 Season Pack; one for the new Overtake Mode and one for the new Active Aerodynamics system.

IN 2026 CAREER AND MY TEAM, DOES MADRING APPEAR ON THE CALENDAR?

Yes, but not in the 2025 versions of Driver Career or My Team.

CAN I DRIVE THE MADRING CIRCUIT WITH THE 2025 CARS?

No, this is not possible as the circuit was designed specifically for the 2026 cars and does not support the old 2025 DRS mode.

DO THE NEW 2026 CARS INCLUDE THE OVERTAKE MODE AND ACTIVE AERODYNAMICS?

Yes, both systems have been accurately modelled in the game’s physics engine, using real-world data supplied by Formula One® and the FIA. You will truly feel the difference that these new tools make, whether you drive with a controller or a wheel.

The new Overtake Mode creates extra strategic options for drivers of all abilities and should lead to closer racing and many more overtaking opportunities. It gives a massively powerful 350k W (470hp) electrical boost for overtaking—far stronger than 2025’s old Overtake mode to compensate for DRS being removed in 2026. If within 1 second of the driver ahead at a Detection Line, drivers can deploy Overtake above a certain speed until the next lap’s Activation Line, battery permitting. Standard ERS modes remain available outside Overtake range, with Assist options for ERS & Overtake management. Overtake is usable in all Race Weekend sessions, with updated Career & My Team Objectives. It uses the same control mapping that the old 2025 Overtake mode used in the F1® 25 base game.

Active Aerodynamics is another brand-new innovation for 2026 that could make these new cars even faster in a straight line. It provides real-time adjustment of front and rear wing angles to match track conditions and corner trajectories. Cornering Mode is the default/high drag mode that engages in turns, braking, throttle lift, or exiting SLM Zones. SLM – Straight Line Mode is the low drag configuration, only available only in pre-set track Zones (like legacy DRS). You can switch modes manually with visible car animations and HUD indicators, or like Overtake Mode, you can use a new Assist to look after it for you. On your controller, Active Aero uses the same button that DRS used in the F1® 25 base game.

HAVE THE TRACKS BEEN UPDATED TO INCLUDE THE OFFICIAL MARKER BOARDS FOR THE NEW VEHICLE MODES?

Yes, when you play in the 2026 game modes all of the circuits feature detection points and marker boards for the Overtake and Active Aerodynamics modes. The tracks also have updated sponsor boards for the 2026 Season.

DOES THE CAR HANDLING FOR THE 2026 CARS FEEL DIFFERENT?

Yes, in addition to Overtake and Active Aero, the new cars are accurately represented in the game’s physics engine. They look significantly different due to reduced width, length, & weight, plus new aerodynamic rules and smaller tyres. Overall downforce is around 15% lower, slightly reducing grip, which will mostly affect faster corners. Plus, close to 50% of power output now comes from the battery. Expect your lap-times at most circuits to be around 1 to 2 seconds slower.

IS THERE A 2026 CAR AVAILABLE IN THE LIVERY DECAL EDITOR?

Yes, there is a new My Team car model for the 2026 rules and its livery can be customized in the Decal Editor.

IS THERE ANY NEW CONTENT IN BRAKING POINT OR THE F1® THE MOVIE MODE?

No, there is no new Story content in the 2026 Season Pack.

CAN I USE RACENET WITH THE 2026 SEASON PACK CONTENT?

While Racenet will remain available for all F1® players, it will not support the new content in the F1® 25: 2026 Season Pack. Players can continue to access its existing features and leagues as they are today.
