What do I need to play?
It Takes Two was designed purely for co-op so you’ll need gear for two. Couch co-op requires either 2 joy cons or 2 gamepad controllers. You can also play using a local wireless connection by connecting two Nintendo Switch™ consoles together.
You can play either with 2 copies of It Takes Two for Nintendo Switch™ or one copy and a Friend’s Pass*, which can be downloaded for free.
Online play requires that both you and your friend play on Nintendo Switch™ consoles and that one or both of you own a copy of the game. If only one of you owns It Takes Two for Nintendo Switch™ the other can download a Friend’s Pass for free so you can play together.
Can I play online?
Yes! It Takes Two can be played online with a friend, provided your friend is also playing on Nintendo Switch™. Your friend will need to either own the game or download an It Takes Two Friend’s Pass* for free.

What versions of the game are available?
It Takes Two is available on Nintendo Switch™ starting November 4 as well as on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and The Play List.
The first level is available to download for free through the Friend's Pass*.
Will there be cross play?
No, the Nintendo Switch™ version of It Takes Two must be played with a co-op partner who is also playing the Nintendo Switch™ version.
It Takes Two is cross gen compatible between PS4 and PS5 as well as between Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
Can I transfer saves?
Save progress from the Friend’s Pass* version of the game will carry over to the full game if/when purchased.
Will VoIP be available?
No, this feature is not available for It Takes Two on Nintendo Switch™.
*Friend’s Pass requires installation of the Friend’s Pass and applicable platform account. Online play requires a friend on the same platform. One user must own the full game in order for the co-op player to play the full game.
