UFC 5 Submission Offense Tips & tricks

When attempting a submission, your fighter can transition to a better posistion using ^RSDOWN^ instead of finishing the submission. This is a good tactic in situations where achieving a finish is unlikely, such as when at a stamina disadvantage.

To finish any submission attempt, use ^RSUP^ to transition to the Submission Finish. If your opponent has no Submission Resillience remaining and has missed the denial, the submission will finish.

Hold ^RB^ to struggle and drain BOTH fighters stamina. This is a good tactic to press a stamina advantage against an opponent being defensive. Within submissions, fighters can't Deny at zero stamina. This tactic can be countered by faking, cancelling your moves with ^RT^.
